Darren Criss Tops AfterElton’s Hot 100 List; Jonathan Groff, Zachary Quinto, Ricky Martin and Cheyenne Jackson Also Recognized

Gay website AfterElton.com published their reader-generated Hot 100, a collection of the world’s hottest straight and gay men alive, and several Broadway faces received recognition for more than just their talent onstage. Leading the 2012 list is Broadway.com Audience Choice Awards host Darren Criss. This is the second year the How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying and Glee star nabbed the top spot.
Joining Criss are almost every other male on Glee (Mark Salling, Cory Monteith, Chord Overstreet, Grant Gustin, Harry Shum Jr., Matthew Morrison and Chris Colfer). Glee guest stars Cheyenne Jackson, Matt Bomer, Jonathan Groff and Ricky Martin (Evita) also ranked pretty high on the 2012 Hot 100 List.

“Glee” star Darren Criss, who made his Broadway debut earlier this year in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, takes the No. 1 spot on AfterElton.com’s 2012 “Hot 100.”
Criss, who also topped last year’s list of the “100 hottest men on Earth,” is joined by “Glee” co-stars Chris Colfer (this year’s runner up), Mark Salling, Matthew Morrison, Cory Monteith, Jonathan Groff, Max Adler, Chord Overstreet, Grant Gustin and Harry Shum Jr.
Criss, who made his Broadway debut as J. Pierrepont Finch in How to Succeed…, plays the role of Blaine, the openly-gay Warbler at Dalton Academy, on Fox’s “Glee.” Prior to “Glee,” Criss was best known for his portrayal of Harry Potter in the YouTube hit, “A Very Potter Musical.”
