Glee Season 4 is back with all-new episodes on November 8, 2012, but the devastation and pure relationship destruction that was Episode 4: “The Break-Up” will undoubtedly cast a shadow in the coming episodes. 

But not all hope is lost! Speaking exclusively with Wetpaint Entertainment, Glee starlet Vanessa Lengies reveals that Kurt (Chris Colfer) and Blaine (Darren Criss) will have a “heart-to-heart” about the circumstances surrounding their cheating-scarred relationship. 

Plus, if you found yourself bawling as you watched Blaine’s tearful, acoustic version of “Teenage Dream,” you certainly weren’t the only one. Vanessa was in tears the whole time, too! The only difference? She actually had the real Darren Criss sitting next to her and reassuring her everything was going to be okay. (Hey, Vanessa — Mind if we trade lives?)

Can you tease anything about “The Break-Up” couples?

There are plans for Blaine and Kurt to have a heart-to-heart about what happened. That’s what they kind teased for me because I hated “The Break-Up” episode. It was so heartbreaking. And then when they showed the clip of Cory and Lea, young, I just lost it. And Darren Criss sang a cappella at the piano. I thought it was breathtaking. He was fantastic. It’s very hard to work with all these amazingly talented people, and then all I think about is how talented they are.

I think Jane Lynch had mentioned that it was the first time that something wasn’t pre-recorded on Glee?

Well, my first show appearance was not pre-recorded. I think in the first season, they did, “Sit Down, You’re Rocking the Boat,” completely a cappella. But, yeah, it was a really, really ballsy decision on Darren Criss’s part to do that because I don’t know how they would have been able to do it pre-recorded. It would look ridiculous.

It was just so fantastic, and I was sitting next to him in the screening room when we saw that episode, and I was shaking, crying. And he put his hand on me, and he’s like, Okay. I’m right here.
